About Your Pilgrimage

“Five gospels record the life of Jesus. Four you will find in books and the one you will find in the land they call Holy. Read the fifth gospel, and the world of the four will open to you.”

~ St. Jerome

Walk in the footsteps of Jesus and visit the sacred places where He lived, preached, and performed miracles more than 2,000 years ago. Join Fr. Allan Morris Abuan on an 11-day Pilgrimage to the Holy Land, “In the Footsteps of Jesus,” from November 12 to 22, 2026. May this journey bring the Gospel to life and deepen your faith as you pray, reflect, and journey through the very land where Jesus walked.

Begin your pilgrimage in Nazareth, the town where Jesus spent His childhood. Visit Nazareth Village, an open-air museum that vividly recreates daily life in Galilee during the time of Christ. Marvel at the majestic Basilica of the Annunciation, built over the site traditionally believed to be where the Angel Gabriel announced to the Blessed Virgin Mary that she would become the Mother of God. Just a short walk away is the Church of St. Joseph, traditionally believed to stand over the site of St. Joseph’s workshop and the home of the Holy Family.

Next, visit Cana, where married pilgrims may renew their marriage vows at the Church of the First Miracle. Continue to Mount Tabor, the traditional site of Jesus’ Transfiguration, and visit the beautiful Church of the Transfiguration. Later, enjoy a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee, recalling the Gospel accounts of Jesus calming the storm and walking on the water.

Spend the day in Galilee, where Jesus lived and taught. Begin in Capernaum, the heart of His ministry and home of His first disciples. Visit the Church of St. Peter, built over the site of St. Peter’s house, where Jesus would have lived. Ascend to the serene Mount of Beatitudes, the traditional site of the Sermon on the Mount and one of the most beautiful and contemplative places in the Holy Land.

Travel to Tabgha to visit the Church of the Multiplication, which commemorates the miracle of the feeding of the five thousand. Conclude your visit in Galilee at the Church of the Primacy of St. Peter, where the Risen Lord entrusted Peter with the care of His Church. Here, you will also find the Mensa Christi (“Table of Christ”), the rock traditionally believed to be the place where Jesus prepared and shared a breakfast of fish and bread with His Apostles after His Resurrection.

At the Jordan River, where Jesus was baptized by St. John the Baptist, pilgrims will renew their baptismal vows. Travel on to Jericho, known as the oldest city in the world. View the Mount of Temptation, traditionally believed to be the site where Jesus fasted and was tempted in the desert. Continue to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth.

Visit the charming village of Ein Karem, traditionally identified as the home of Zechariah and Elizabeth, the parents of John the Baptist, and the site of the Visitation. Here, Mary’s Magnificat (Luke 1:46–55), proclaimed during her meeting with Elizabeth, is beautifully displayed in 47 languages on the wall facing the Church of the Visitation.

Continue to Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus. Visit Shepherds’ Field, where the angels announced Christ’s birth to the shepherds. Then enter the Basilica of the Nativity to venerate the Grotto of the Nativity and touch the silver-star marking the traditional site of Jesus’ birth. Explore the Chapel of StJerome and visit the Church of St. Catherine, where Holy Mass will be celebrated.

Jerusalem, a holy city revered by Jews, Christians, and Muslims, is the next stop on your pilgrimage. It is here that the mystery of Christ’s Passion, Death, and Resurrection unfolded. In the Old City of Jerusalem, walk prayerfully along the Via Dolorosa (Way of Sorrows), retracing the steps of Jesus on His way to Calvary. The journey culminates at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, one of Christianity’s holiest sites, built over Golgotha, where Jesus was crucified, and His empty tomb, a glorious witness to His Resurrection.

Cap off your pilgrimage in Emmaus, where the Risen Lord revealed Himself to two of His disciples after His Resurrection. Visit the Monastère de la Résurrection, one of the finest preserved Crusader-era buildings in the Holy Land.

Walk where Jesus lived, preached, performed miracles, died, and rose again. Join Fr. Allan Morris Abuan on an 11-day Pilgrimage to the Holy Land, “In the Footsteps of Jesus,” from November 12 to 22, 2026. May this sacred journey deepen your faith, renew your spirit, and draw you closer to Christ.
