About Your Pilgrimage

Experience a spiritual journey like no other in Bohol, where faith, culture, and nature come together in harmony. Walk through centuries-old churches that echo the island’s rich Catholic heritage. Marvel at the world-famous Chocolate Hills, come face to face with the gentle Philippine Tarsier, and find peace on a tranquil Loboc River cruise, embraced by nature’s quiet beauty. Conclude each day of reflection with rest and comfort at the luxurious Bellevue Resort in Panglao, a true haven by the sea.

Join our 4-day Praycation to Bohol with a Pilgrimage Chaplain on April 20–23, 2026, and let God’s presence be revealed in the wonders of creation and the treasures of faith.

After a morning flight to Tagbilaran, your praycation begins with a delightful farm-to-table lunch at Bohol Bee Farm served on a patio overlooking the sparkling Bohol Sea. Continue to Dauis Church, or Our Lady of the Assumption Church, one of Bohol’s oldest. It enshrines the miraculous image of Our Lady of the Assumption and features a coral stone bell tower and a healing well inside. The church is recognized as a National Historical Landmark.  Next, visit the Tagbilaran Cathedral, also known as St. Joseph the Worker Cathedral, the seat of the Diocese of Tagbilaran. Located beside the city hall and plaza—a classic Spanish-era town layout—the cathedral’s interior features beautiful wooden carvings and historic religious images.

Continue your praycation at the Blood Compact Shrine, where Rajah Sikatuna and Miguel López de Legazpi sealed a historic pact of peace and friendship. From there, proceed to Baclayon Church, formally the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Built by the Jesuits in 1595, it is one of the oldest Catholic churches in the country and is recognized as both a National Cultural Treasure and a National Historical Landmark.

The journey then takes you to Santa Monica Church, also known as Albuquerque Church, among the oldest stone churches in the Philippines, where Mass will be celebrated. Visit St. Peter the Apostle Parish, or Loboc Church, home of the Virgin of Guadalupe of Extremadura. The dark-skinned Madonna with the Child Jesus is venerated for countless miracles attributed to her intercession, including saving the town from devastating floods.

Experience the charm of the Loboc River on a scenic cruise with a buffet lunch, surrounded by the serene beauty of nature. Continue to the Bohol Tarsier Conservation Area, a peaceful sanctuary nestled in the lush forests of Loboc, dedicated to the protection of one of the world’s smallest primates—the Philippine Tarsier. Drive through the Bilar Man-Made Forest, a breathtaking stretch of towering mahogany trees forming a natural green tunnel, before reaching the world-famous Chocolate Hills, Bohol’s most iconic natural wonder.

Attend a half-day morning recollection led by your Pilgrimage Chaplain, a time for quiet reflection and spiritual renewal. In the afternoon, proceed to Loon to visit the miraculous image of Our Lady of Light (Birhen sa Kasilak), enshrined at the Nuestra Señora de la Luz Parish Church, also known as Loon Church. Declared a National Historical Landmark and a National Cultural Treasure in 2010, this church stands as a lasting symbol of faith and resilience. Drop by the Pasalubong Center for local delicacies and souvenirs. End your praycation with a Mass at the beautiful San Augustine Church, renowned for its ceiling murals depicting the seven sacraments of the Roman Catholic Church.

Step into Bohol’s timeless charm, where faith, culture, and nature blend seamlessly. Visit historic churches, encounter local devotion, and bask in the island’s tranquil beauty. Join a 4-day Praycation to Bohol with a Pilgrimage Chaplain on April 20–23, 2026—a journey of rest, reflection, and spiritual joy.
