About Your Pilgrimage

Step into a journey of faith, prayer, and quiet grace.

Join this 12-day Pilgrimage to the Marian Shrines of Portugal, France, and Spainled by Fr. Jojo Buenafe, from November 9 to 20, 2026.

Visit places where Our Lady appeared and where millions have come seeking hope, healing, and peace. Slow down. Pray deeply. Reflect fully. This is more than travel. It is time with Mary, drawing us closer to her Son.

Begin your pilgrimage with Mass at the Church of St. Anthony in Lisbon, Portugal. This sacred church stands on the site where St. Anthony of Lisbon, later known as St. Anthony of Padua, was born in 1195. Just across from the church is the historic Lisbon Cathedral, where he was baptized.

Your journey continues to Fátima, Portugal, where you will stay for two nights near the revered Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima, one of the most important Marian shrines in the world. This holy place became known after the Blessed Virgin Mary, under the title Our Lady of Fátima, also known as Our Lady of the Rosary, appeared to three shepherd children, Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta, between May and October of 1917.

Make your way to Salamanca, Spain, for a brief stop at the Plaza Mayor, one of the city’s most beautiful landmarks. Then travel on to Burgos for an overnight stay. The next day, visit the magnificent Cathedral of Saint Mary of Burgos, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Spain’s finest examples of Gothic architecture.

Head to Loyola, the birthplace of St. Ignatius, founder of the Jesuit Order. Visit the Sanctuary of Loyola and celebrate Mass at the Chapel of the Conversion, where St. Ignatius experienced a profound change of heart while recovering from a battle injury.

Travel to Lourdes, France, for a two-night stay at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes. Set in the serene Pyrenees Mountains, this sacred place is known for healing, prayer, and quiet reflection. In 1858, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared here to St. Bernadette Soubirous. Visit the Grotto of Massabielle, where the apparitions took place, and spend time in personal prayer. In the evening, join the candlelight rosary procession, as pilgrims from around the world lift their voices together in prayer and song.

Return to Spain with a visit to Torreciudad, a Marian shrine in the Aragón region of northern Spain. The Shrine of Our Lady of Torreciudad was completed in 1975 under the guidance of St. Josemaría Escrivá, founder of Opus Dei. Next, travel to Zaragoza to see the magnificent Basilica-Cathedral of Our Lady of the Pillar, one of Spain’s most important churches. Known in Spanish as Nuestra Señora del Pilar de Zaragoza, it marks the first Marian apparition in Christian history—the only one that occurred while the Virgin Mary was still alive.

Take a day trip to Monteagudo to visit the Convent of the Way, where St. Ezekiel Moreno spent his final days and passed away on August 19, 1906. Explore the museum dedicated to him, built to commemorate the 100th anniversary of his death.

Then, make your way to Montserrat to visit the Basilica, adjacent to the Monastery of Montserrat. Here you will encounter Our Lady of Montserrat, also known as La Moreneta, one of Spain’s most revered Marian icons.

Wind down your pilgrimage with a two-night stay in Barcelona. Enjoy a guided tour of the city, including visits to the Basilica of Sta. Maria del Mar and the Sagrada Familia, the one-of-a-kind temple designed by genius architect Antoni Gaudi, whose work continues 140 years after the laying of the cornerstone. Pass by Paseo de Gracia to admire Gaudi’s other masterpieces, including Casa BatlloLa Pedrera, and Plaza de Cataluna.

Walk in the footsteps of faith and devotion to Our Lady. Join this 12-day Pilgrimage to the Marian Shrines of Portugal, France, and Spain, led by Fr. Jojo Buenafe, from November 9 to 20, 2026.

A journey of prayer, reflection, and grace that gently draws the heart closer to God.
