“In all ages the sinful, the suffering, the sorrowful, have laid their woes at the feet of Our Lady of Montserrat, and none have ever gone away unheard or unaided.”
Come, let us make our way to her. You are invited to join a 14-Day Faith-Filled Marian Pilgrimage from October 29 to November 11, 2026, visiting the beloved sanctuaries of Our Lady of Montserrat, Lourdes, and Fatima, with a stay in the Eternal City of Rome. This once-in-a-lifetime journey will be graced by a special recollection with Cardinal Chito Tagle and guided in prayer by our pilgrimage chaplain, Fr. Fiel Pareja. Whether you come carrying a burden, seeking healing, or simply longing to deepen your faith, Our Lady is waiting — and she has never turned anyone away. Come, pilgrim. This journey is for you.
The pilgrimage begins in Barcelona with a Mass at the beautiful Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar. The group then passes by the Hospital de Sant Pau, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a stunning example of Modernist architecture.
From there, the pilgrims make their way up to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Montserrat, home to the beloved _La Moreneta_ — the Black Virgin.
Perched high in the mountains, this sacred place has drawn pilgrims for centuries, each one coming with their own prayers, their own burdens,
their own hopes — and as the quote reminds us, none have ever gone away unheard or unaided. It is a powerful and moving place to begin this Marian journey.
Returning to Barcelona, the group visits some of the city’s most iconic sights: the magnificent Sagrada Família, the breathtaking Casa Milà and Casa Batlló — all masterpieces of architect Antoni Gaudí — and the bustling Plaza de Cataluña. The day ends with a visit to Montjuïc Mountain, offering a sweeping panoramic view of the city and its harbor.
The pilgrimage crosses from Spain into France, journeying through the breathtaking scenery of the Pyrenees toward one of the most beloved holy sites in the world — the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes. It was here, in 1858, that the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared 18 times to the young St. Bernadette Soubirous at the Grotto of Massabielle — a sacred place where pilgrims have come ever since to pray, to seek healing, and to be close to Our Lady. The group will spend two nights here, with time to pray quietly at the grotto and to join the beautiful candlelight Rosary
Procession in the evening, where thousands of pilgrims from around the world walk together, candles in hand, singing the _Ave Maria_ in many languages — an experience truly impossible to forget.
From Lourdes, the group travels to Loyola, the birthplace of St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus. Here they will visit the Santuario de Loyola and celebrate Mass at the beautiful Chapel of Conversion — the very place where Ignatius began his extraordinary
journey of faith.
The journey continues to the magnificent Burgos Cathedral for the celebration of Holy Mass before crossing into Portugal toward the beloved Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima. It was here, between May and October 1917, that Our Lady appeared to three young shepherd children — Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta — drawing pilgrims from around the world to this quiet Portuguese town. The group will spend two nights here, praying, honoring the Blessed Mother, and soaking in the grace and devotion that make Fatima one of the most beloved Marian shrines in the
world.
The pilgrimage winds down with a 4-night stay in Rome, the heart and home of the Catholic Church. A special highlight of this grace-filled journey is a morning recollection and celebration of the Holy Mass with Cardinal Chito Tagle at the Pontificio Collegio Filippino. Pilgrims will also visit the beautiful town of Assisi, made even more significant as it celebrates a special Franciscan Jubilee Year honoring the spiritual legacy of St. Francis of Assisi.
Encounter Our Blessed Mother in the places she has chosen to make herself known. Walk in the footsteps of saints. Return home with a faith renewed and a heart full of grace. Join a 14-day Faith-Filled Marian Pilgrimage to the Sanctuaries of Our Lady of Montserrat, Lourdes, and Fatima with Rome, featuring a Recollection with Cardinal Chito Tagle and with Fr. Fiel Pareja as Pilgrimage Chaplain, from October 29 to November 11, 2026, organized by Jesuit Communications Foundation (Jescom). Come, and let Our Lady lead the way.
